Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-334 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RESTORATION <br />OF THE 25 YEAR -OLD LAKE ITASCA BOARDWALK <br />WHEREAS, access to parks, natural resources, boardwalks and trails, are essential to the <br />quality of life, health and welfare of city of Ramsey's residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Itasca Boardwalk has been recommended for restoration by the Park <br />& Recreation Commission and the Public Works Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, seven quotes were solicited, and four quotes were received, on Novemeber <br />15, 2021; and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />TOTAL QUOTE <br />MN Boardwalk LLC <br />$13 8,000.00 <br />Peterson Companies <br />$141,785.00 <br />Rosti Construction <br />$287,590.00 <br />Pember Companies <br />$298,515.00 <br />CS McCrossan Construction Inc. <br />No Bid <br />Janke Contruction <br />No Bid <br />Solutions 101 LLC <br />No Bid <br />WHEREAS, the quote of MN Boardwalk LLC, in the amount of $13 8,000 for the <br />construction of said improvements in accordance with the Request for Quotation, and plans and <br />specifications, is the lowest responsible bidder and their quote shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Contractor and City Staff are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement for the <br />construction of said restoration for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />2) City Council hererby authorizes staff to to complete the aforementioned improvements at <br />a not -to -exceed amount of $138,000 from the Capital Maintainance Fund. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />RESOLUTION #21-334 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
