FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Thc Ramsey Fire Department conducted the monthly officers meeting on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 <br />at Ramscy Fires Station, 15050 Armstrong Blvd., NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />OFFICERS PRESENT: Chief Kapler <br /> Assistant Chief Hoxter <br /> Assistant Chief Lemm <br /> Officer Lecy <br /> Officer Lewandowski <br /> Officer Minear <br /> Officer Nelson <br /> Officer Weiss <br /> <br />CALl, TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chief I<apler called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Duty officer for June is Officer Jerry Streich and July is Officer Dave Lewandowski and for the <br />4th of July Officer Paul Minear. <br /> <br />The next officers meeting will be Tuesday, August 3ra, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br /> · Receiver hitch pin concerns. ChiefKapler requests that firefighters be reminded to check <br /> the pins to make sure they are secured. To solve the pin problem it was discussed that the <br /> chain could be welded to the truck and the pin to the receiver end. It was also suggested <br /> that an extra supply of pins be kept in one of the trucks. <br /> <br /> · Officer Nelson reported that he will be checking into seatbelts for the fire trucks. <br /> <br /> · There was concern regarding the use of a harness versus a life jacket during water rescue. <br />AUTO AID <br /> <br /> · Became effective June 1, 2004. <br /> <br />NEW FIREFIGHTER PHYSICAL AGILITY TESTS <br /> <br /> · 10 firefighters are signed up for June 3~d, 2004 fi:om 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
