Tanker #2 is leaking transmission fluid. The City Mechanic is putting a parts list together for
its repair.

The ptnnp in Tanker #1 will need adjusting before next year's testing. The pump design is
poor.

Parts arrived for the door on Engine #2.

MF~DIC/tL/SMAL£ TOOLS

Battery packs for the cordless tools will be rotated every week. This should avoid the
problem of having a dead battery. The battery pack in Rescue # 1 is located on the driver's
side behind the rear seat and in Rescue #2 it is on the passenger side on a shelf above the
medical kit.

Fuel for the small engines was replaced during Major Maintenance.

Medical supplies used in September were one bulky trauma dressing and a roll of cling.
SCBA/RA DIOS/PA GERS

Four radios are back from repair.

Radio chargers are larger than planned.

Metro Fire was out for annual maintenance on the SCBA.

SCBA battery change out has been completed.

The Department's masks were not part of the recent recall.

The cylinder is full and operational.

Sprinkler system activity has been low this year, however, as commercial growth increases
the activity level is expected to increase also. Officer Streich will make appointments with
larger companies and do walk in inspections for the smaller companies.

'URNO UT' GEAR/MA PS

PAR tags and locker tags are in good shape.
Officer Weiss' helmet needs to be exchanged.
Oflicer I,ecy needs a new flashlight.

FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/OCTOBER 4, 2004
