SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT <br /> <br /> Sixteen teams are needed for us to break even. We are not playing, but running the <br /> toumament. <br /> <br />· Volunteers are needed. Umpires are also needed, however you will have to attend umpire <br /> training on April 18, 1998. The Department will pay for training, but you have to umpire if <br /> you attend the training. <br /> <br />· There will be a committee meeting at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 1998. <br /> <br />· ChiefKapler expressed his appreciation for an excellent job by the tournament committee. <br />BECKY WEISS BIKE ROAD-EO <br /> <br />· Tom Hoxter reported the road-eo will be May 2, 1998, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />· The same number of children (400) are expected. <br /> <br /> A vote was taken for the department to donate a bike. <br /> <br /> Twelve to fifteen volunteers are needed. It was discussed as to whether the department <br /> should have Oak Grove's smoke house at the road-eo. It was decided it would take too many <br /> volunteers. <br /> <br />SOFTBALL TEAM <br /> <br />· ChiefKapler has not heard back from the Anoka League. <br /> <br />· It is expected to cost $40 per person. <br /> <br />CPR CI,ASS <br /> <br />· A group of 25-30 people would like the department to give a CPR class in St. Francis. <br /> <br /> There is going to be a training class on CPR instruction in May, however, there are enough <br /> certified instructors at this time to teach this class. <br /> <br />WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND? <br /> <br />· Quotes were received to patch holes and paint the floor in the truck bay, however, it was also <br /> recommended not to do it.
