Fire Fighters should become familiar with it. <br /> <br />· The airways and nasal airways are now in kits on Engine One and Engine Two. <br /> <br />· [~ngine Two now has a burn and an OB kit. <br /> <br />· Engine One will receive an amber bag to keep the collar in. <br /> <br /> Thc flow tester is here so if you are having a problem with your mask it can be tested. <br /> <br />· New PALS have been received and will be installed on the trucks when the batteries arrive. <br /> <br /> Do not covet' the diaphragm on the SCBA valve with your hands because it causes it to dent, <br /> and the cost for repair is $75. <br /> <br />VACATIONS <br /> <br />· Chief Kapler and Tom Hoxter will be on vacation February 7th - 14th. <br /> <br /> Bob Simpson will <br /> hold the day business meeting and Jim Sharp will hold the evening business meeting. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />· The biohazard container will be emptied weekly by the Police Department, however, if you <br /> sec the container is full the Police Department should be notified. <br /> <br />· Extra caution in winter driving should be used when responding to calls. <br /> <br />· The storm team procedure is in effect. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE <br /> <br />· Dave Lewandowski has been chosen to represent the Fire Department on the Public Safety <br /> Committee. <br /> <br />STAT[ON #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Friday, January 15, 1999 Chief Kapler and Tom Hoxter will meet with the property owners <br /> of the location site of the new station (161~t and Armstrong). <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT/JANUARY 13, 1999 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
