· Thc semi annual maintenance was completed and no major problems were found.
RADIO'S/PAGERS/TURNOUT GEA1Wi~PS

Jim Sharp reviewed the Radio's/Pagers/Turnout Gear/Ivlap report.

Three fire fighters went to Cy's to be sized for uniforms.

· The February flashlights have been ordered.

Six new gloves have been ordered, as well as helmet lettering.

· Ten city address maps have been received.

· Four pagers have been ordered. They are the pagers that can have a second tone if the
Department chooses this option. There is a $20 initial fee, but no fee to have the service.

· .lira will receive a price quote on a universal adopter for a battery charger.
There are no necessary repairs on the turnout gear other than reflective material.

·

TRAINING

Tom Hoxter reviewed the training report.

· The training committee will meet on Sunday March 7th to set the training schedule.
· March 3''d will be a Chief's drill.

March 24th will be Grass Fire Preparation.

February training included Fire Alarms/Sprinkler Systems, Instant Command, and the
Physical Agility Test.

The Fire Alarms/Sprinkler Systems training was found to be an informative class.

The Instant Command training stressed the use of A, B, C and D sides. The Department
thinks residential, so using front, back, side works, however, with commercial properties it
would possibly cause confusion.

Thcre are three firefighters who need to take the physical agility test.

Nine people are interested in attending the State School. Some of the classes to be attended
are Basic Pumps, Auto Extrication, Fire Cause and Determination and Fire Fighter Two class
~md test. The officers are impressed with the interest.

FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/MARCH 2, 1999
