FIRE DEPARTMENT
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

The Ramsey Fire Department conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, June 1, 1999, at the
Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota.

CALL TO ORDER

Chief Kapler called the regular meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m.
There were eleven people in attendance. There were no additions to the agenda.

The next officers meeting will be Tuesday, July 6, 1999 at 7:00 p.m.
meeting will be a Sunday meeting. Everyone is welcomed to attend.

MONTItLY REPORTS

TRAINING

Chief Kapler reviewed the Training report.

O

The August officers

The training for May included Search and Rescue, Medical/Jeopardy and an Air Bag class.

Opinions of the training were that the Search and Rescue was interesting and the smoke
machine worked well. The Medical/Jeopardy was fun and the Air Bag class was
disappointing. The fire fighters would have liked to learn more about what to do and not do
when taking someone out of a car with air bags and learn where the activation devices are
located. The morning class was more informative on air bags than the evening class.

Training for June will include Water Relay, Medical Emergencies, a Chief's Drill and Major
Maintenance.

MAJOR MAINTENANCE

Chief Kapler reviewed the Major Maintenance report.

· The Opticons are operational on all three trucks.

· Tachometer cableis repaired.

· Pressure washer has been received.

· Quick lock nozzle holder for Engine One has been received.

· Replacement toe straps have been received.
