FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Department conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, October 13, 1999, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chief Kepler called the regular meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />There were eighteen fire fighters in attendance. Added to the agenda was fire relief issues. <br /> <br />The next officer's meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 2, 1999. <br /> <br />MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> <br />TRAINING <br /> <br />Officer Lemm reviewed the Training Report. <br /> <br />· September's training included Pump Testing and Death and Dying. <br /> <br />· Opinions of the training were that the Pump Test was very good and explained in easy <br /> format. Death and Dying had mixed reviews. The presenter did a lot of advertising. <br /> Fir¢fighters would like to have information on how to help people at the scene. The <br /> Department also reviewed October's Defensive Driving class. The instructor has won many <br /> driving rodeos, however more hands on training would be better. Driving on ice would be a <br /> good addition to the training. Next year the Department will look into an internal training. <br /> <br />· Three firefighters need to take the Pump Test. They will take it at the same time. <br /> <br />· October's training will be Defensive Driving, Medical Emergency and Auto Extrication. <br /> <br />· Firefighter Smith passed the First Responder course. Officer Groezinger will finish Fire <br /> Fighter One November 22"d. <br /> <br />· There will be a live burn November 21,t at 8:00 a.m. The Department has access to furniture <br /> fi'om ACCAP. <br /> <br />· There is the possibility of an elevator drill at Savannah Oaks. <br /> <br />· The Department has a $3887 credit for state training. <br /> <br /> <br />
