]NC/DENT REPORT <br /> <br />Chief Kapler Reviewed the Incident Report. <br /> <br />· In September there were thirty-four calls, of which twenty-four were fire and ten were rescue. <br /> Total dollar damage for September was $150,000. <br /> <br />· Year to date there have been two hundred forty-six calls, of which one hundred sixty were <br /> fire and eighty-six were rescue. The total dollar damage is $434,300. <br /> <br />MEDICAL/SCBA <br /> <br />Officer Weiss reviewed the Medical/SCBA report. <br /> <br />· Officer Weiss received a recall notice for the NightHawk fire detectors. <br /> will be put in each firefighter's box. <br /> <br />STATION CLEANUP <br /> <br />· Bill Karels team has station cleanup this month. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />A copy of the recall <br /> <br /> It was requested that round mirrors be installed below the regular mirrors. <br /> <br />· Rubber gloves should be kept in the gear, also please be aware of the supply in the trucks. <br /> <br />· Antiscptic wipes will be replaced a couple times a year. <br /> <br />· Fire hydrant threads are sharp; make sure gloves are worn. <br /> <br /> Caution in driving should be used with winter approaching. <br /> <br />STATION #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />· The property belongs to the City now. <br /> <br />· Sol I borings will be done next week and also a meeting with the architect will take place. <br /> The bonding process willbegin. <br /> <br />ENGINE #3 UPDATE <br /> <br />· The truck will be at the Chief's Conference. <br /> <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT/OCTOBER 13, 1999 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
