Officer Lemrn passed out a schedule for 2000 training. Mandatory training was brought forward and the Officers discussed and filled in other training dates. There will be a Chief's Drill quarterly and a Tech drill once a month. Training for next year the Officers would like to see a water rescue, Parabody walk through, large vehicle extrication and live wire with Connexus. It is unlikely the CPR and Defibrillator class can be the same night because of a time constraint, however, Officer Lemm will check into it. elevator drill will take place December 1st. October's training was reviewed. Defensive Driving was too much information in one night, could possibly break it down to one night of classroom and one night of hands on. Medical Emergencies instructor was not good and had a negative effective on the firefighters. Auto Extrication was interesting with a lot of hands on. Neil Anderson would be a good instructor for this class, giving different scenarios for extrication. rd November training will include; November 3 Roll Ups, First Truck on the Scene, the 17th Patient Assessment, the 21st Live Burn (No Drill on the 24th). The Pump Testing has been completed by all firefighters. NEW FIRE FIGHTERS UPDATE · Firefighters Groezinger and Dahlberg end probation this month. MAJOR MAINTENANCE Chief Kapler reviewed the Major Maintenance Report. The Opticon on Engine One is working.
