STATION CLEANUP <br /> <br />· Firefighter Karels group has station clean up this month. <br /> <br />FOURTH OF JULY COVERAGE <br /> <br />· Five firefighters were available for the holiday weekend. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />· With road closures throughout the city, MnDOT will call 2800 by noon the day before the <br /> road closes. <br /> <br />· Road closure updates will be kept on the board. <br /> <br />· Thc Trott Brook Bridge is closed and will be closed until September 1st. <br /> <br />STATION #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Backfill has been done and the underground mechanical is almost finished. <br /> <br />· The block walls have started to go up. <br /> <br />· There is a delay in getting the steel roof joists. <br /> <br />ENGINE #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Most of the equipment is ordered and been delivered. <br /> <br />· A strainer for the suction hose and miscellaneous adapters are needed. <br /> <br />· A speaker in the back with a separate volume control will be installed. <br /> <br />· Installation of shelves will be done in the near future. <br /> <br />RESCUE TRUCK <br /> <br />· Thc chassis was ordered in mid February and will be a 2001. <br /> <br />· Thc Dcpartment will look at a poly-body style truck. <br /> <br />· A gencrator may be installed after the truck is built. <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT/June 14, 2000 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
