· Mate Building: The City issued conduit Industrial Revenue Bonds at the June 28th <br /> Council Meeting for the manufacturing project with Kilkenny, LLC. The company will <br /> bring approximately 125 jobs and utilize the existing structure and make some <br /> im provements. <br />· I)cbee Property: The City purchased the Debee property for $170,000 on April 6, 2005. <br /> ri'he property owner has removed all debris from the site and the site is now ready to be <br /> developed. Staff is currently working on a deal that would relocate Dave Perkins <br /> Contracting to this site and to acquire his current site on County Road 116. <br />· Amoco Property: Staff and the City Attorney have been in contact with counsel for <br /> Amoco. The Council has signed a purchase agreement with BP Products. The due <br /> d iligence period now begins and the City will be doing additional environmental analysis. <br /> ri'he closing will occur in July if there are no significant problems with the environmental. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Steffen suggested a demolition ceremony be organized with the demolition of <br />the Amoco building. Member Kiefer suggested the demolition ceremony be coordinated with <br />the placement of a revitalization sign. <br /> <br /> consensus of the EDA was to direct staff to bring the proposal for a demolition/revitalization <br />ceremony at thc Atnoco site forward to the City Council for approval. <br /> <br />l-~conom ic Dcvelopment/TIF Specialist Sullivan reviewed that the City is currently negotiating <br />with Adol t'son-Peterson to purchase right-of-way associated with the extension of Bunker Lake <br />Boulevard. <br /> <br />Member l,cTourneau commented it would be nice to be able to clean this site up. Economic <br />l)cvclopm cnt/TIF Specialist Sullivan replied Adolfson-Peterson would not be a willing seller at <br />this point and relocation would be costly. He inquired if the EDA would like to continue to <br />monitor this site, or direct other action on the site. <br /> <br />Member Strommen noted it is likely that City involvement will not be needed with this site as <br />thc area I'urthcr develops. <br /> <br />~l'hc consensus of the EDA was to continue to monitor the Adolfson-Peterson site. <br /> <br />I';conom ic Development/TIF Specialist Sullivan informed the EDA that staff attended a meeting <br />at Command Corporation on July 8, 2005. Ben Minks, of Minks Custom Homes, has opened <br />negotiations with Command Corporation and hopes to finalize the deal in July or August. The <br />pro. jeer woulcl be a 20,000 to 30,000 square foot building for himself and a couple of tenants. <br /> <br />'lhc t:,DA reviewed the future meeting topics. Economic Development/TIF Specialist Sullivan <br />int'ormcd the EDA that there will be some changes due to the resignation of Associate Planner <br />Wald. At this time it has been determined that there will no longer be a QCTV program.
