CC Work Session 2, 5, <br />Meeting Date: 01/25/2022 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Update on Anoka County State Aid Highway 5/Nowthen Boulevard Corridor Study <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this case is to present an update on the Anoka County led corridor study for County State Aid <br />Highway 5/Nowthen Boulevard. <br />Background: <br />Anoka County hired SRF Consulting Group in 2021 to lead a corridor study for CSAH 5/Nowthen Boulevard <br />through the City of Ramsey to consider traffic impacts and corridor needs that may result from upcoming changes <br />to Highway 10 and continued development. <br />On Friday, November 5, 2021, a Project Management Team (PMT) kickoff meeting for the CSAH 5/Nowthen <br />Boulevard corridor study was held. PMT members included Staff from Anoka County, City of Ramsey, and SRF <br />Consulting Group. The agenda for the meeting was as follows: <br />• Welcome and introductions <br />• Study context, background, and process <br />• Planning assumptions — land use and roadway improvements <br />• Existing and No Improvement scenario forecast results <br />• Open discussion about the City and County's concerns for the corridor <br />• Next Steps <br />Staff will present an update on the discussions and outcomes of this meeting,as well as the current status of the <br />study. <br />Timeframe: <br />Staff anticipates needing 10 minutes to present updates and field any questions. <br />Funding Source: <br />NA <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />City Engineer Westby will present updates and field questions.
