COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Adopt Ordinance #21-21 Amending City Code Article XVI- Tobacco, Sections 26-749 <br />to 26-789 <br />Economic Development Manager Sullivan reviewed the proposed ordinance to amend City Code <br />Article XVI-Tobacco, Section 26-749 to 26-789 to reflect the Minnesota 21 Tobacco Law that <br />went into effect in August of 2020. This changed the legal age of tobacco sales from 18 to 21 as <br />well as incorporating electronic tobacco devices within the City of Ramsey Code. The public <br />hearing notice for Ordinance #21-21 was published on November 12, 2021. He noted the public <br />hearing and first reading of the Ordinance occurred on November 23, 2021 at the City Council <br />meeting.
