Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: • Family Snowshoeing o Participants in this program will meeting at the warming house and receive instruction on how to snowshoe. Following instruction, participants will explore Loral I Armstrong Delaney Central Park by"floating"on the snow with snowshoes. Some environmental interpretation will also be shared while exploring the park. This program will be held at the park on Thursday, February 241h from 6:00pm- 7:30pm.Attached to the Weekly Update is the Family Snowshoeing Flyer. • The Draw Summer Concert Series o The lineup for the 2022 Summer Concert Series is being finalized for the 12'h year of this community event. Come Work With Us! - The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: • Plannin2 Manager—This is a full-time, exempt position in the Community Development Department. The 2022 wage range is $88,334 to$110,417 annually. The Planning Manager is to manage the operations of the Planning Division; supervise planning, environmental and clerical functions and staff, oversee the long range planning and implementation of the Comprehensive Plan; provide professional planning advice to the City Council; and to perform a wide range of tasks at the verbal or written direction of the Deputy City Administrator/Community Development Director or City Administrator. This position closes at 11:59 pm on Monday, February 21, 2022. • Parks Maintenance Worker — This is a full-time position that will provide general maintenance of city-owned parks and trail systems. Responsibilities include all aspects of park maintenance, construction of new facilities and the operation of equipment while working in a variety of weather conditions. This position will also be involved in snow plowing of public streets,trails and walks. Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with both air brake and tanker endorsements. The 2022 rate of pay is $24.389/hour and has paid leave benefits (sick, vacation & holidays). This is an AFSCME union position.
