Original Message .....
From: Terri Cleveland [mailto:Terri.Cleveland~co.anoka.mn.us]
Sent: Friday, July 22, 2005 9:05 AM
To: Dean Kapler
Subject: Bike/Pedestrian Lane

Has the Public Works Department ever considered adding or marking a pedestrian/bike lane
on Waco St. (south of Sunwood Drive)? There are children and addlts that use this street
to walk and ride their bikes as it is a beautiful location for those that live in the
immediate area and others to enjoy. However, the many curves on this street and
speeders, make the traffic of cars and walkers unsafe as visibility is difficult at times
and there can be walkers on both sides of the street at the same time when a car is
approaching. If a walker/bike lane was marked on one side of the street it would alert
the automobile traffic ~o waEch for pedestrians and bike traffic on the designated lane
(also has potential to keep or lower car traffic to posted speed, as well).

Thank you for your consideration of my suggestion. I look forward to hearing from you.

Terri Cleveland
14818 Waco St., N.W.
763/323-2061

Terri Cleveland, B.S., M.P.P.
Administrative Support Supervisor
Anoka County Administration
2100 3rd Ave
Anoka, MN 55303
terri~cleveland@co.anoka.mn.us
763.323.5652
fax 763.323.5682
