Cotmci hncm ber Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-08-279 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0738 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM JEFF STEVENSON FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A <br />COMMERCIAL DOG KENNEL TO PROVIDE DOG OBEDIENCE AND HUNTING <br />TRAINING ON A RESIDENTIALLY ZONED PARCEL OF PROPERTY. <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Jeff Stevenson for a <br />col~ditional use permit to provide dog obedience training on the property generally known as <br />8125 173rd Ave NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Ix)t 1, Block 1, Deerwood Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />alld <br /> <br />'Ibc east 15 feet of the west 330 feet of the south 264 feet as measured at right angel to <br />thc west and south lines thereof of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of <br />Section 05 Township 32 and Range 25, excluding road; subject to easement of record <br /> <br />(thc "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />NOW TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to thc rcqucst arc dctermined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That t>n June 23, 2005, Jeff Stevenson, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant", properly <br />applied t"or a conditional use permit for a commercial dog kennel to provide dog obedience <br />training on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />Tlmt thc Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursualV to Section 9.03.05 of the City Code on August 8, 2005, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That thc Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Residential-Rural <br /> l)cvcloping. <br /> <br />4. ~l'hat thc Subject Property is approximately 6.5 acres in size. <br /> <br />That Section 5.9.03 (Dog Regulations) of the Ramsey City Code defines a commercial dog <br />kennel as any place where boarding and/or training is offered to any number of dogs not <br />owned by the owner or occupant of the premises. Such boarding and/or training may also <br />include but is not limited to related uses such as selling, breeding, showing, treating or <br />grooming. <br /> <br /> <br />
