Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #22-050 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT, <br />CONTINGENT UPON METROPOLITAN COUNCIL APPROVAL, TO CHANGE A <br />LAND USE DESIGNATION ON THE SUBJECT PROPERTY TO PUBLIC/QUASI- <br />PUBLIC <br />WHEREAS, JB Vang (the "Applicant") has requested an amendment to the 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan to change the future land use designation from Low -Density Residential to <br />Public/Quasi Public for a portion of the following legally described property: <br />THE SE1/4 OF NW1/4 OF SEC 16 TWP 32 RGE 25, EX W 185 FT THEREOF, <br />EX RD, SUBJ TO EASE OF REC, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant has also applied for a Sketch Plan and Zoning Amendment, in <br />addition to the Comprehensive Plan Amendment, on behalf of their client, PACT Charter School, <br />for a proposed high school campus on the Subject Property; and <br />WHEREAS, PACT Charter School has a Purchase Agreement with The Church of Saint <br />Katharine Drexel (the "Property Owner") for the acquisition of the western eighteen (18) acres of <br />the Subject Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 24, 2022, conducted a <br />public hearing, and considered the Applicant's request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves/denies the request for a land use designation <br />change. <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br />documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2040 Comprehensive Plan to <br />change the land use designation to Public/Quasi-Public. <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of <br />notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
