Absent: Commissioner Rosenow and <br />Spain Brist. <br /> <br />The direction was that a questionnaire should be sent out to the applicants and the interviews <br />would be conducted the third Thursday in March (15). <br /> <br />Commissioner Henke stated she would like to get together as a Commission. <br /> <br />Following are the questions <br />applicants to fill out: <br />l) <br />2) <br />3) <br /> <br />4) <br />S) <br />6) <br />7) <br />8) <br />9) <br /> <br />the Commission came up with for the questionnaire for the <br /> <br />Are you a citizen of Ramsey? <br />Are you a registered voter? <br />What do you see as the most significant challenges Ramsey has faced in the last five <br />years? <br />What do you see as the most significant challenges Ramsey currently faces. <br />What do you see as the most significant challenges Ramsey faces in the future? <br />What is your motivation for wanting to be on the Charter? <br />Do you understand the role the Charter Commission plays within the City? <br />What type of Commission should we be - proactive or reactive? <br />As a member of the Charter Commission, are you able to attend meetings on a periodic, <br />as needed basis? (Make it clear that these meetings are fairly erratic.) <br /> <br />Chairperson Kiefer stated he would like for the appointees to be able to attend a meeting prior to <br />their being placed on the Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Henke stated she would like to have more time to think about the questions for <br />the questionnaire for the applicants. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Committee was that the questionnaire be typed up and sent out to each <br />member, allowing them a week to look it over and suggest additions or deletions. The additions <br />and/or deletions would be at the discretion of the Chairperson. <br /> <br />Staff was directed to write an article for the Ramsey Resident informing citizens that they can <br />apply for the Charter Commission directly to the judge. <br /> <br />Case #3: Ward System <br /> <br />Chairperson Kiefer asked, with this special election coming up, is there any interest in putting <br />the ward system before the voters. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Childs and seconded by Commissioner Netzloff to table discussion on <br />this case and also to table the Commission Input portion of the agenda. <br /> <br />Charter Commission - February 15, 2001 <br /> Page 11 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
