Expect Delays on Highway 10 Through Anoka in 2022 Expect a significant increase in commute times while traveling US Highway 10/169 through the City of Anoka this spring through 2023,and beyond.Construction of the`Anoka Solution"project is scheduled to begin in full force this spring with substantial completion scheduled for the end of 2023.The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn- DOT)is also planning to construct numerous improvements along Highway 10 through the City of Anoka in 2022 and 2023. Then in the fall of 2023,construction of the Ramsey Gateway Highway 10 Improvements project will begin and continue through early 2026. The Anoka Solution project includes the reconstruction of three intersections along Highway 10 at Thurston Ave- nue,Fairoak Avenue and Main Street,along with pedestrian walkway improvements and frontage road improvements. Highway 10 will cross over Thurston Avenue and Fairoak Avenue,with a new full-access interchange with a roundabout replacing the signalized intersection at Thurston Avenue and Fairoak Avenue, crossing under Highway 10,with no access to Highway 10. At the same time,MnDOT plans to replace the Highway 10 bridge over the Rum River,to replace the current Highway 10 diamond interchange at Ferry Street with a single-point urban interchange,to make minor improvements to the bridge at 7th Avenue,to replace the 4th Avenue overpass and to realign the Rum River Regional Trail.
