This firm has been proven of overcharging, and they are now representing all the development in the City of Ramsey. He does not think most people understand the impact this will cause by having these people stay where they are. Itc is asking the City to ask the representative at the LRRWMO to have more consideration of what this firm is doing in relation to higher taxes caused by overcharging. For example, Ramscy Town Center is being charged up to $125 per hour, while the company doing thc work is only being paid $75 per hour. This is all amounting to enormous amounts of money, with bids and bonding that is way out of proportion to other communities. He has been dramatically affected, but so has everyone else in this room due to the hundreds of thousands of dollars thc poor engineering has cost the City. As taxpayers they should demand answers. If the (:ity cannot persuade this individual to change his mind, maybe they should have another individual represent the City at the LRRWMO that respects where the City is going. Mayor Gamec directed staff to provide the Council with information regarding the situation with tl~c l ,R R WMO and the engineering firm. CONS ENT AGENDA ('~ouncihncmber E lvig requested residents to make themselves aware of the overlays, crackfilling and scalcoats under the Consent Agenda. He indicated he received two calls from residents on 160th Avenue expressing concern that the sealcoats were not done in a quality manner. The scalcoats included large rocks, and a lot of it is wearing off and is up in the yards. He noted the need fi~r thc upcoming sealcoats to be done in a quality manner. Assistant Public Works Director Olson explained there are contracts for the sealcoats that have been done, and anything that falls under warranty can be corrected. Normally this work would be completed in the following year. The resolution before the Council tonight would order the public hearing for each of the assessments, which would provide the opportunity for public comment.
