The City's assistance will be provided in the form of Tax <br />Increment Financing, which will include a partial land write down of the site the business <br />anticipalcs locating on in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc thanked Economic Development/TIF Specialist Sullivan and Economic <br />l)cvclopmcnt Consultant Mulrooney for the work they do for the City. <br /> <br />(?ouncilmcmber Elvig asked what tipped the scale in Dalager Properties' decision to locate in <br />l{amscy. <br /> <br />l'~conomic Development Consultant Mulrooney replied the presence of Mayor Gamec at the <br />initial mooting with the CEO of Dalager Properties had a lot to do with the decision, as it <br />provided an indication of the City's interest in the company. Another factor in the decision was <br />thc availability of the property and the fact that the site is ready to go. This company needs to <br />move now, and having a site ready is a very important aspect. The incentive package was a <br />critical clement in thc decision as well. <br /> <br />Mayor (;amcc noted when he met with the CEO there was mention of the availability of a <br />workforcc on the local level as well. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to authorize a business <br />subsidy agreement with Dalager Properties, LLC, and to authorize execution of a development <br />agreement with Dalager Properties, LLC, contingent upon review by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Jeffrey, Cook, Olson, <br />l~carson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: Lions Application for a One-Day 3.2 Beer License <br /> <br />Mayor (~amec indicated the Ramsey Lions have applied for a one-day, 3.2 beer license, for <br />I lappy Days, scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2005. Staff is requesting Council waive the <br />$50 license fcc. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated the Lions will be holding a barbeque in the evening <br />hours during I Iappy Days and will have a beer tent. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilrnember Jeffrey, to approve the <br />al)plicati(m for the Ramsey Lions Club for a one-day, 3.2 beer license for Happy Days, the City <br /> <br />City Council / September 13, 2005 <br /> Page 8 of 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
