Councilmember Strommen stated this was on a work session discussion, and a lot of time has gone into this ordinance. She suggested if this is discussed at another work session that Chris Anderson, Jim Aarndt, Ron Peterson, and thc Ef'B attend the work session when this is discussed. Community Development suggested the [~PB attend the work session as well. Mr. Hunt stated he talked to Chris Anderson and asked if h.e needed help, and he was told he did not need any help. He brought up the fire problem to Clnris who then talked to the Fire Marshal. This draft is much better than the first one that went to the Planning Commission, but it will still cost the homeowners a lot, and it will be something that will not be attractive to Ramsey. The ordinance states you cannot mow the buffer, which means he would not be able to have his winter ski trail. He stated he had to go to City Hall on l:riday to pick the ordinance up because it was just finished for the presentation, and the previous 6me it was discussed at the Planning Commission, they did not even have a finished copy for the l'lanning Commission. Councilmember Strommen stressed the urgency of getting the wetland inventory underway due to the season. Councilmember Elvig suggested the transfer fi'om thc l~andfill Tipping Fund be authorized, and that the ordinance be tabled to a work session. Councilmembers Cook and Strommen withdrew the motion on the floor. Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Resolution #05-07-242 authorizing the transfer of $35,000.00 from the Landfill Tipping Fund to the General Fund to engage the services of Peterson Environmental Consulting Inc. for the purposes of conducting a wetlands inventory and assessment. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Strommen, Elvig, Jeffrey, Olson, and Pearson. Voting No: None. Mayor Gamcc directed staff to include the wetland buffer ordinance on an upcoming work session agenda. The proposed development, Sommerset Station, of approximately 98 acres, is proposed to be developed with residential units for a net density of approximately 8.0 traits per acre. 36 acres is proposing to be developed with commercial uses.
