(:otmciltncmber__ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #04-20, SANITARY SEWER WATERMAIN AND STORM <br />SEWER IMPROVEMENTS TO OAK TERRACE ESTATES MOBILE HOME PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project #02-40 <br />5;an i tary Sewer Watermain and Storm Sewer improvement to Oak Terrace Estates Mobile Home <br />Park, bids were received and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the two bids that were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br />Kober Excavating <br />Dave Perkins Contracting <br /> <br />Amount ofBid <br />$447,486.05 <br />$481,742.50 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Kober Excavating is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Kober Excavating in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />Improvement Project #04-20 in the amount of $447,486.05 contingent upon (a) an <br />agreemcnt being signed by the Oak Terrace Estates Mobile Home Park agreeing to the <br />being assessed the full amount of the project costs; and (b) the receipt of drainage and <br />utility easements from Oak Terrace Estates Mobile Home Park over the sanitary sewer <br />and watermains which are to be maintained by the City. <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Thc motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />..... and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />~nd thc following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and thc lbllowing abstained: <br /> <br />;~_nd thc l:bllowing were absent: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-XXX <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
