CONSENT AGENDA <br />None. <br />6. COMMISSION BUSINESS <br />6.01: Review Design Concepts for the New Water Treatment Plant <br />Presentation <br />Utilities Supervisor Nelson presented the Staff Report stating that staff and representatives from <br />AES2 and Oertel Architects are in attendance to review concept plans for the new water treatment <br />plant proposed for the City of Ramsey. <br />Steve Nelson, AES2, commented that they would like the form to follow the function because of <br />the purpose of the water treatment plant. <br />Daniel England, Oertel Architects, identified the location for the water treatment plant. <br />Mr. Nelson and Mr. England reviewed the different elements of the concept diagrams, explaining <br />how different features incorporate the equipment needs of the facility. <br />Mr. England reviewed renderings of the proposed facility and explained how materials and <br />landscaping will be used to help soften the facade and blend with the public works facility. <br />Commission Business <br />Chairperson Bauer asked the timeframe for the project. <br />Mr. Nelson replied that the facility is anticipated to be complete in October of 2023. <br />Planning Commission/ January 27, 2022 <br />Page 2 of 22 <br />
