March 4, 2022 <br />City of Ramsey <br />Mayor Kuzma & City Council Members <br />7550 Sunwood Drive NW <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br />Re: Rezoning of Property in favor of PACT Charter School and St. Katherine Drexel Catholic <br />Church of Ramsey <br />Dear Mayor Kuzma and City Council Members, <br />It has come to our attention that PACT Charter School has a requested a Zoning Amendment <br />and Comprehensive Plan Amendment at 7633 161st Ave NW. While we are in support of PACT <br />Charter Schools expansion, as a household in the surrounding neighborhood, we have some <br />considerable concerns regarding the location of the proposed project: <br />Notice to Surrounding Residents: Article II, Division 2, Section 117.49 (e) requires notification of <br />residents wholly or partially within 350 feet of the proposed amendment. While I applaud your <br />efforts to expand that requirement to 700 feet, the expansion does not notify anyone east of <br />Variolite Street. This is extremely concerning as a majority of the population within this area is <br />concentrated in the neighborhoods of Sweet Bay Ridge and The Woodlands.
