ORDINANCE #22-16 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING BOUNDARY LINES FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br />WARD SYSTEM <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota ordains: <br />SECTION 1. PURPOSE. <br />It is the purpose of this ordinance to re-establish the boundary lines for the Wards located <br />within the City of Ramsey as per the Minnesota Redistricting Process. The four wards are as equal <br />in population as is practicable with each ward being composed of compact contiguous territory. <br />Changes occur in all four Wards. <br />Ward Descriptions. Following is the legal description of each ward. <br />WARD 1: Description and map will be added after map is selected, prior to adoption <br />See attached City Map showing graphically the boundaries of WARD 1. <br />WARD 2: Description and map will be added after map is selected, prior to adoption <br />See attached City Map showing graphically the boundaries of WARD 2. <br />WARD 3: Description and map will be added after map is selected, prior to adoption <br />See attached City Map showing graphically the boundaries of WARD 3. <br />WARD 4: Description and map will be added after map is selected, prior to adoption <br />See attached City Map showing graphically the boundaries of WARD 4. <br />SECTION 2. SUMMARY. <br />The following is the official summary of Ordinance #22-16, which has been approved by the City <br />Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the <br />ordinance. <br />Redistricting is a process that occurs every ten years following completion of the US Census. The <br />City of Ramsey is divided into four wards and each Ward shall have a balanced population with <br />the other Wards within the City.
