Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-06-122 <br />RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE UPDATED POLICY FOR THE RECRUITMENT, <br />APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW PROCESS OF APPOINTING CITY BOARD AND <br />COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council would like its practices and written policies for appointing <br />board and commission members to be efficient, effective and aligned with the City's strategic <br />plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council would like simplify the incumbent reapplication process; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council would like simplify the process to fill unexpected <br />vacancies due to unforeseen resignations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council would like remove unnecessary Charter Commission <br />language from the updated policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Motion to approve resolution # 16-06-122 to Adopt the Updated Policy for the Recruitment, <br />Application and Interview Process of Appointing City Board and Commission members as <br />presented. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained:' <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 28th day of June 2016. <br />
