From: Matt Woestehoff
To: Brian Hagen
Cc: Kurt Ulrich
Subject: Fwd: Pact Charter School
Date: Wednesday,March 2,2022 7:33:16 PM
H1 Brian-
Another one for you.
Best,
Matt
Matt Woestehoff
Council Member, Ward Two I City of Ramsey
7550 Sunwood Drive NW
Ramsey, MN 55303
P: 763-576-4366
mwoestehoffna,citvoframsev.com
cityoframsey.com
Begin forwarded message:
From: Tom Johnson <tomer4511 agmail.com>
Subject: Pact Charter School
Date: March 2, 2022 at 7:32:16 PM CST
To: rheineman&citvoframsey.com, mwoestehoff&cityoframsey.com,
mkuzma&citvoframsey.com, chowell&citvoframsey.com,
dmusarovea-cityoframsey.com, dspecht(@-cityoframsey.com,
crileva-citvoframsev.com
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this email in regards to the proposed pact charter school, and the
effects it will have on the residents living nearby. I have lived in the sweetbay
ridge neighborhood since spring of 2015. Living in ramsey has been nothing
short of paradise, but hearing of the proposal of the school was a real shock to all
of us. Our neighborhood has always been a peaceful place, almost like being up
north, very quiet, lots of nature and wildlife, and relaxing, after working in the
cities during the week for work. This will all change with the building of a new
school. Wildlife will be pushed further north, trees cut down the "up north" feel
with diminish. The first issue is the traffic, every household in our neighborhood
has kids or grandkids, which all like to play outside, rides bikes etc, with a new
school being built with traffic twice a day, 5 days a week, it will no longer safe
for children to ride on the path along variolite or go to central park. As many of
you know variolite was deteriorating for quite some time dodging potholes and
going 5 miles per hour to avoid damage to cars. Now we finally got our new road,
that was not constucted to sustain the amount of traffic a school would bring.
Also we all know that right after the school is built the church with the money
