Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION#16-06-122 <br /> RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE UPDATED POLICY FOR THE RECRUITMENT, <br /> APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW PROCESS OF APPOINTING CITY BOARD AND <br /> COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council would like its practices and written policies for appointing <br /> board and commission members to be efficient, effective and aligned with the City's strategic <br /> plan; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council would like simplify the incumbent reapplication process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council would like simplify the process to fill unexpected <br /> vacancies due to unforeseen resignations; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council would like remove unnecessary Charter Commission <br /> language from the updated policy. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> Motion to approve resolution# 16-06-122 to Adopt the Updated Policy for the Recruitment, <br /> Application and Interview Process of Appointing City Board and Commission members as <br /> presented. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon,the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br /> this the 28th day of June 2016. <br />
