`r NORTH METRO ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL OF FICA .R � PRICE CHANGES, GENERAL POLICIES 2022 1' TH MET ��.ANI C_MT L MCITY FEES Charged Only when animals are unclaimed: • Daily Boarding — increased from $15/day to $19/d to a maximum of 7 calendar days, or longer if required by local rule or ordinance. NOTE —Stray holds are calculated in accordance with MN STAT 347.14 Subd.2 and MN Board of Animal Health Rules 1721.0520 Subpart 10. Which mandate minimum hold periods of 5 regular business days. • Emergency Veterinary Care—increased from a maximum of $300 to a maximum of$SOO. • Humane Euthanasia and disposal when necessary for untreatable animals or when an animal poses a public safety risk, or pursuant to a valid destruct order—reimbursement of actual cost. • Bite Quarantines — If an owner fails to claim an animal after a bite quarantine, $19/day for a maximum of the mandated quarantine period. • There is no charge to the City for pickup of animals when requested by local law enforcement or designated City Staff OWNER FEES—Due when animals are claimed: • Impound Fee — Minimum Fee Assessed when animals are impounded and brought into our facility- $4S.00 • Pickup Fee— Flat rate service fee for picking up animal- Increasing from$25 (during business hours) and $35 (during non-business hours) to a flat rate fee of$50.00 • Daily Boarding—After the first 24 hours $28.00/day • Shelter Diversion/Field Release Fee—When an animal has a collar tag, micro-chip, or other means of identification AND when the legal owner can show compliance with local licensing, rabies control, or other local regulation, an animal may be returned to the owner in lieu of impound. We will charge a field release fee of $SO.00 • Dangerous Dog Registration — When requested by addendum to its contract, North Metro Animal Care and Control will provide Dangerous Dog Registration Services in accordance with MN STAT 347.50— 347-565. Pursuant to MN STAT 347.51 Subd. 3 North Metro Animal Care and Control shall charge a fee not to exceed $500.00. PUBLIC HOURS — North Metro Animal Care and Control is open to the public for claiming animals between the hours of 9:OOAM and 6:OOPM Monday through Friday and 9:OOAM to Noon on Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and all Legal Holidays. North Metro Animal Care and Control DOES NOT RELEASE ANIMALS OUTSIDE OF PUBLIC HOURS. PUBLIC SERVICE HOURS—North Metro Animal Care and Control will no longer respond to private residences to pick up animals on a 24/7 basis. Residents will no longer be able to request pick-up of found or stray animals between the hours of 1 OPM and 8AM.
