Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #21-351 <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR LOT 4, BLOCK 1, <br /> RIVERSIDE WEST: CASE OF WINDOWS AND DOORS USA <br /> WHEREAS, on September 28, 2021 the Ramsey City Council approved a purchase <br /> Agreement with Windows and Doors USA (the `Buyer")to purchase Lot 4, Block 1, Riverside <br /> West and to construct a 101000 SF Office, showroom/warehouse; and <br /> WHEREAS, as of December 9, 2021 the City has not received an executed Purchase <br /> Agreement and $3000.00 in Earnest Money from the Buyer; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff has made efforts to contact the Buyer to discuss the status of the <br /> Purchase Agreement but has been unable to connect with the Buyer since October 27, 2021; and <br /> WHEREAS, Due to the uncertain status of the Purchase Agreement with Windows and <br /> Doors USA, Lot 4, Block 1, Riverside West has effectively been off the market for over two <br /> months; and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 9, 2021, the EDA unanimously recommended that the City <br /> Council provide written notice to Windows and Doors USA the Purchase Agreement is no longer <br /> valid but to continue to work with them in the event that they would like to submit another offer <br /> for consideration or enter into a new purchase agreement. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY,ANOKA <br /> COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the City of Ramsey authorizes City Staff provide written notice to Windows and <br /> Doors USA the Purchase Agreement approved on September 28, 2021 is no longer valid <br /> but to continue to work with Windows and Doors USA in the event that they would like <br /> to submit another offer for consideration or enter into a new purchase agreement <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br />
