Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #22-057 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH UNITED <br /> STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY <br /> WHEREAS, the previous Joint Funding Agreement between the City of Ramsey and the <br /> United State Geological Survey assigning responsibilities for ongoing operation and maintenance <br /> of Mississippi River streamgage #05283500 was in effect from August 1, 2017 through <br /> September 30, 2021; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey uses data from streamgage #05283500, as well as data <br /> from other streamgages in the area, to monitor water levels in the Mississippi River; and <br /> WHEREAS, due to the benefit the City of Ramsey receives from being able to access <br /> ongoing, real time data from this and other streamgages the City wishes to enter into a new Joint <br /> Funding Agreement with the United States Geological Survey for Federal Fiscal Year 2022- <br /> 2026. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1. That the Ramsey City Council hereby directs the City Administrator to execute the Joint <br /> Funding Agreement for streamgage #05283500 with the United States Geological Survey <br /> for Federal Fiscal Year 2022-2026 for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />
