Commissioner Rolfe inquired as to which fund would be used to begin the project. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos replied that there are funds available in the Lawful Gambling <br />fund for 2001. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrum, seconded by Commissioner Rolfe, to recommend that the full <br />plan be completed with the ultimate goal being to complete the entire project within a three-year <br />period. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners, Ostrum, Rolfe, Johns, and LaMere. voting No: <br />Chairperson Cook. <br /> <br />Commissioner Rolfe recommended that they use 1/3rd of the cost from the lawful gambling fund, <br />1/3Td from the park district, and 1/3ra from the general fund. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Rolfe, seconded by Commissioner Ostrum, to recommend that the <br />complete project be funded by taking $11,000 from the park district, $11,000 from the Lawful <br />Gambling Fund, and $11,000 from a funding source indicated by the Council for the next three <br />years. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Rolfe, Ostrum, Johns, and LaMere. Voting No: <br />Chairperson Cook. <br /> <br />Case #5: Review and Recommend 2001 Capital Improvements <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos presented the Commission with the 2001-2005 Park Capital <br />Improvement plan approved by City Council. In order to proceed, each project will require <br />specific Council action. Mr. Boos reviewed each item listed on the 2001 Capital Improvement <br />plan. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to have staff request proposals for the Rivers Bend <br />playground equipment to be installed by the vendor. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Rolfe, seconded by Commissioner Ostrum, to recommend that the City <br />Council approve the 2001 Capital Improvements project as presented with the exception of the <br />Central Park entrance project. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Cook, Commissioners, Rolfe, Ostrum, Johns, and <br />LaMere.
