List any impacts and issues identified above that may require. further investigation <br />before the project is begun. Discuss any alternatives or mitigative measures that have <br />been or may be considered for these impacts and issues, including those that have been <br />or may be ordered as permit conditions. <br /> 9. Fish, Wildlife.and Ecologically Sensitive Resources <br /> The main impact urbanization has on plants and animals are fi.om a loss of habitat. 'Another way that urbanization <br /> can affect wildlife is by fragmenting the natural habitat areas. Wildlife will be displaced due to the loss of habitat <br /> and from noise and activity fi'om construction. The wildlife will likely relocate to other nearby habitat. Some of the <br /> wildlife that leave due to construction of the development may return once it is complete. Some of the wildlife will <br /> be permanently displaced due to habitat change and stress from the new developments. <br /> 16. Erosion and Sedimentation <br /> The area to be disturbed by the project is 190 acres through the excavation of 600,000 cubic yards of material. <br /> An Ems/on and Sediment Control Plan and a Storm Water Pollution Prevent/on Program (SWPPP) will be <br /> submitted and approved as required by the permitting agencies. <br /> MPCA Best Management [~ractices (BMP) will be implemented to mitigate erosion and sediment, which are <br /> required ~'or all land disturbances. Grading will be limited to roadway construction, storm water ponds, and house <br /> pads. BMPs to be implemented include silt/r~nces, storm water basins, rock construction entrances, and seeding <br /> disturbed slopes, m~d will be implemented as soon as possible. The developer will obtain a National Pollutant <br /> Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and comply with the requirements. <br /> 21.
