CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Topic Report: City Manager Form of <br />Government <br />By: James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City Council discussed City Manager form of Government during the work session <br />oF September 6, 2005. During that meeting, Council asked for more information <br />regarding thc distinguishing features between the City Administrator form of government <br />and ('.ity Manager form of government. <br /> <br />A presentation was made by Kevin Frazell of the League of Minnesota Cities on April <br />21 ~ ot' this year. The Charter Commission received a League Research Memo as part of <br />that presentation (included with the work session agenda). Staff was also able to <br />assemble a list of cities in Minnesota that have adopted a City Manager form of <br />government (attached). <br /> <br />Kcvin l"razcll was busy during the week of September 25, and staff was not able to <br />clctcrmin¢ if Mr. Frazell could be in attendance for the Council meeting.
