Councimember Shryock introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-06-122 <br /> RESOLUTION To ADOPT THE UPDATED POLICY FOR THE RECRUITMENT, <br /> APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW PROCESS of APPOINTING CITY BOARD AND <br /> COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council would like its practices and written policies for appointing <br /> board and commission members to be efficient, effective and aligned with the City's strategic plan; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council would like simplify the incumbent reapplication process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council would like simplify the process to fill unexpected vacancies <br /> due to unforeseen resignations; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council would like remove unnecessary Charter Commission <br /> language from the updated policy. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of THE CITY of <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE of MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) Motion to approve resolution # 16-06-122 to Adopt the Updated Policy for the <br /> Recruitment, Application and Interview Process of Appointing City Board and <br /> Commission members as presented. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councimember <br /> Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councimember Shryock <br /> Councimember Riley <br /> Councimember Johns <br /> Councimember Kuzma <br /> Councimember Williams <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br />
