Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #22-088 <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-05, RIVERDALE DRIVE <br /> EXTENSION, LLAMA STREET TO BOWERS DRIVE, TO RECONSTRUCT <br /> RIVERDALE DRIVE FROM LLAMA STREET TO ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD <br /> WHEREAS, existing Riverdale Drive between Sunfish Lake Boulevard and Armstrong <br /> Boulevard functions as the south frontage road to U.S. Highway 10/169; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to extend Riverdale Drive between Llama <br /> Street and Bowers Drive to extend the south frontage road system south of U.S. Highway 10/169 <br /> to Bowers Drive; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City's 2022 - 2031 Capital Improvement Plan includes project 21-STR- <br /> 005 that proposes to mill and overlay the segment of Riverdale Drive between Llama Street and <br /> the segment of Riverdale Drive constructed as part of the Armstrong Boulevard & Highway 10 <br /> interchange in 2014 - 2015; and <br /> WHEREAS, completing a mill and overlay improvement on this short segment of <br /> Riverdale Drive will result in significant impacts to drivers relying on this segment of Riverdale <br /> Drive to access homes and businesses west of Armstrong Boulevard when this segment of <br /> Riverdale Drive requires a full reconstruction. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1. The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to enlist Bolton and Menk to <br /> prepare the necessary plans and specification to include the reconstruction of <br /> Riverdale Drive between Llama Street and the segment of Riverdale Drive <br /> constructed as part of the Armstrong Boulevard & Highway 10 interchange under <br /> Improvement Project#20-05. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> ,and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> and the following abstained: <br />
