Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #22-057 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH UNITED <br /> STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY <br /> WHEREAS, the previous Joint Funding Agreement between the City of Ramsey and the <br /> United State Geological Survey assigning responsibilities for ongoing operation and maintenance <br /> of Mississippi River streamgage 405283500 was in effect from August 1, 2017 through <br /> September 30, 2021; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey uses data from streamgage 405283500, as well as data <br /> from other streamgages in the area, to monitor water levels in the Mississippi River; and <br /> WHEREAS, due to the benefit the City of Ramsey receives from being able to access <br /> ongoing, real time data from this and other streamgages the City wishes to enter into a new Joint <br /> Funding Agreement with the United States Geological Survey for Federal Fiscal Year 2022- <br /> 2026. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby directs the City Administrator to execute the Joint <br /> Funding Agreement for streamgage 405283500 with the United States Geological Survey <br /> for Federal Fiscal Year 2022-2026 for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Howell,and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Heineman <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br />
