Sec. 117-521. Business and industrial park signs. <br />(a) Park identification signs. Industrial or business park signs shall be permitted to contain the following <br />information: the name and address of the park, the management or the developer thereof, and the names of <br />the individual businesses located within said park. Park identification signs shall contain no advertising <br />material of any kind, and shall be subject to the following: <br />(1) All industrial and business park signs shall be ground or wall signs. <br />(2) There shall not be more than one industrial or business park sign for each point of vehicular access to <br />an office or industrial park. <br />(3) The gross surface area of an industrial or business park sign shall not exceed 100 square feet in gross <br />surface area for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of 200 square feet. <br />(4) A ground industrial or business park sign shall not project higher than ten feet, as measured from base <br />of sign or grade of the nearest adjacent roadway, whichever is higher. <br />(b) Park member identification signs. <br />(1) <br />There shall not be more than one wall sign for each principal building or tenant or use within a <br />building, except where the building abuts two or more streets, additional such signs, one oriented to <br />each abutting street, shall be permitted. <br />(2) There shall not be more than one ground sign for each principal building. <br />(3) The gross surface area of a wall sign shall not exceed 15 percent of the occupant's proportionate share <br />of the building wall to which the sign is to be affixed. A wall sign shall not project higher than the <br />parapet line of the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. <br />(4) The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed 100 square feet for each exposed face nor <br />exceed an aggregate gross surface area of 200 square feet. <br />(5) A ground sign shall not project higher than ten feet, as measured from base of sign or grade of the <br />nearest adjacent roadway, whichever is higher. <br />(Code 1978, § 9.12.10; Ord. Construction specifications. <br />(a) All signs permitted by this division in excess of 16 square feet shall be painted, lettered, or faced to the <br />workmanship standards and best commercial practices of companies normally engaged in the business of <br />providing commercial signs, using materials designed and marketed specifically for use on outdoor signs. <br />(b) In addition to complying with the provisions of this division, all signs shall be constructed in accordance with <br />the applicable provisions of the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Sign Code and State Electrical Code and as <br />subsequently amended. <br />(c) All signs shall be located in such a way that they maintain horizontal and vertical clearance of all electrical <br />power lines and communication lines. <br />(d) All signs and their supporting structures shall maintain clearance and non-interference with all surface and <br />underground facilities and conduits for water, sewage, gas, electricity, or communications equipment or <br />lines.
