Councimember Shryock introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # 18-158 <br /> RESOLiTION APPROVING UPDATED RESTAURANT SiBSIDY PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, attracting restaurants to the community has been identified as a key priority for the <br /> City of Ramsey; and <br /> WHEREAS, attracting new restaurant users to the community via economic development tools <br /> has been recognized as a viable and reasonable approach; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has developed three (3) strategic initiatives to attract new <br /> restaurant users including a Water Availability Charge forgiveness program, a sign and awning grant <br /> program, and an expansion of the Business Welcome Services program; and <br /> WHEREAS, these new initiatives are intended to result high benefits at low cost to the City. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of THE CITY of <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY.) STATE of MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1. That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the following initiatives as part of the Business <br /> Subsidy Program: <br /> a. Water Availability Charge Forgiveness Program <br /> b. Establishment of a Sign & Awning Grant Program <br /> c. Expansion of the Business Welcome Services Program <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councimember Riley, <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Acting Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councimember Shryock <br /> Councimember Riley <br /> Councimember Johns <br /> Councimember Kuzma <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Existing Vacancy <br /> Existing Vacancy <br />
