Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: <br />• Kite Day in the Park <br />o Due to inclement weather last week, this event is rescheduled for Friday, May 6, <br />from 3:30 — 6:30 pm, at Elmcrest Park. There is still time to register for a kite kit! <br />Don't miss out on this fun opportunity to assemble and decorate your own kite. <br />• Spring Birding Bingo <br />o A new Birding Bingo card has been released for the month of May! Keep an eye <br />out for the birds found on the Bingo card and check off the bird when you spot it. <br />See if you can spot them all! Submit your Bingo card once you have gotten a Bingo <br />(four in a row, vertically, horizontally, or diagonally). The submission form can be <br />found at: www.citvoframsev.com/ParkEEvents. <br />• Geocaching with Dogs <br />o Learn how you can go treasure hunting with your dog! Geocaching is a great <br />opportunity to get out into nature, exercise your dog, and do some exploring! In <br />this beginner class, we will learn how to use GPS technology to help us find caches. <br />Geocaching is great for people and dogs of all ages and abilities. This program will <br />be at Alpine Park on Thursday, May 12 from 5:30 — 7:00 pm. <br />• Women's Hiking Series <br />o Join us on Tuesdays to walk and navigate trails at Rum River Central Regional <br />Park. Learn to orient yourself, read trail maps and plan hiking routes. All abilities <br />and fitness levels are welcome!
