Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #22-109 <br /> RESOLUTION TO APPROVE PARTICIPATION IN ANOKA COUNTY'S HUD <br /> PROGRAMS <br /> WHEREAS, under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and the <br /> Granston-Gonzales National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, every three(3)years Anoka County <br /> must complete an Urban Requalification process in order to continue receiving and administering <br /> Housing and Urban Development(HUD) funds for the Community Development Block Grant and <br /> HOME Programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, as part of the requalification process the County is required to notify <br /> participating communities of their option to be excluded from the Anoka County"Urban County" <br /> qualification of the funding years 2023-2025; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County's population,among other factors,is determinant of the eligibility <br /> of the County and the amount of resources which may be made available to the County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey has chosen to remain a participating community in the past; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is herein determined that it is in Ramsey's best interest to have its <br /> population counted together with other municipalities of Anoka County. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) City Staff shall notify Anoka County of the intent to remain a participating community for <br /> the funding years 2023-2025. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> None <br />
