Commissioner Brauer asked about the comment in the Staff report concerning the Fire <br />Department working with the owner. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik indicated that the Fire Department had a <br />concern about getting to all of the areas of the greenhouses, adding that there was an incident this <br />year. She stated Staff wanted to solidify that the applicant would work with the Fire Department <br />on this concern. She indicated that the Fire Chief reviewed it and agrees. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Van Scoy to recommend City Council <br />adopt findings of fact favorable to the applicant and approve the request for an amended <br />Conditional Use Permit for the Green Valley Greenhouse. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Brauer, Shepherd, <br />and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Levine. <br /> <br />Cast #2: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed the .Maximum Allowable <br />Square Footage for Accessory Structures; Case of David & Lynette Randall <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Associate Planner Dalnes advised that the City received a request for a Conditional Use Permit to <br />exceed the maximum allowable square footage for accessory structures at 7960 171st Lane NW. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Dalnes stated that under City Code, a 2.3 acre parcel is allowed 2,064 square <br />feet of accessory building space. She indicated that the proposed 1200 square foot building will <br />cause the property to exceed its maximum allowable square footage by 416 feet. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt opened the public hearing at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded'by Commissioner Van Scoy to close the public heating at <br />7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Brauer, Shepherd, <br />and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Levine. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Commissioner Shepherd asked if the two people who signed letters indicating they have no <br />problem are the direct neighbors.
