C. The height of the top edge of the signboard shall not exceed the height of the wall from <br /> which the sign projects, if attached to a single story building, or the height of the sill or <br /> bottom of any second story window, if attached to a multistory building. <br /> D. The distance from the building wall to the signboard shall not exceed six inches (6"). <br /> E. The width of the signboard shall not exceed three (3)feet. <br /> F. Limited to one (1) sign per business. Projecting sign area shall be deducted from the <br /> allowable wall signage area. <br /> G. Granted to ground floor commercial uses only. <br /> Awning Signs <br /> Awning signs are allowed in all COR sub-districts. Awning signs are allowed for ground floor uses only, <br /> provided that the following standards are met: <br /> A. If acting as the main business sign, it shall not exceed 24 square feet in area, and the height <br /> of the lettering, numbers, or graphics shall not exceed 12 inches. <br /> B. If acting as an auxiliary business sign, it shall be located on the valance only, shall not exceed <br /> four(4) square feet in area, and the height of the lettering, numbers, or graphics shall not <br /> exceed four inches (4"). <br /> C. Limited to two such signs per business. <br /> D. If acting as the main business sign, it shall not be in addition to a wall-mounted or applied <br /> letter sign. <br /> Sandwich Board Signs . <br /> Sandwich board signs are permitted within all COR sub-districts. N <br /> A. One (1) sandwich board sign per business is permitted in any <br /> business, commercial and mixed use district and shall be located y <br /> within five feet (5') of the main building entrance to the business <br /> it advertises. <br /> B. Sandwich board signs shall be displayed only during open <br /> business hours and must be removed daily. <br /> C.
