Park and Recreation Commission 5.2. <br />Meeting Date: 05/12/2022 <br />By: Mark Riverblood, Engineering/Public <br />Works <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Affirm Park Dedication for PACT Charter School <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to acknowledge the February 2021 recommendation to City Council that the Park <br />Dedication resolution (cash or land dedication) for any subdivision of land east of the existing Loral I Armstrong <br />Delaney Central Park— be for new park land at the northeast of the existing park. <br />Notification: <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />PACT Charter School has submitted a Preliminary and Final Plat application for a proposed high school on 18 <br />acres east of Central Park. This proposed plat includes additional land to satisfy Park Dedication consistent with the <br />Commissions' 2021 direction for Park Dedication. <br />Additionally, ongoing negotiations between PACT and the City include coming to a solution for a cross -parking <br />and access agreement. <br />And, as a point of information, PACT understands that a trail will be required as a Stage 1 improvement from <br />Variolite Street to Central Park's eastern border, parallel with 161st Avenue. <br />Funding Source: <br />No funding is required for this informational case. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends no action to reverse the Commission's 2021 recommendation on this subject. <br />Action: <br />No action required, this case affirms the Park & Recreation Commission's 2021 recommendation to City Council <br />on this topic. <br />Final Plat submittal <br />New park area exhibit <br />February 2021 P & R case <br />Attachments <br />Form Review <br />Inbox Reviewed By Date <br />Grant Riemer Grant Riemer 05/06/2022 08:16 AM <br />Form Started By: Mark Riverblood Started On: 05/05/2022 11:28 AM <br />Final Approval Date: 05/06/2022 <br />
