Environmental Policy Board (EPB) 5. 2. <br />Meeting Date: 05/16/2022 <br />By: Chris Anderson, Community <br />Development <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Arbor Day Recap <br />Purpose/Background: <br />On Friday, April 29, 2022 (Arbor Day), the City, in conjunction with a local Ramsey business, Dedicated Networks, <br />celebrated Arbor Day by planting a ceremonial oak tree along with six (6) maple trees. The planting event occurred <br />at Dedicated Networks, located at 14000 Unity Street NW and the adjacent city -owned parcel. Approximately 20 <br />staff from Dedicated Networks participated in the event. Attached to this case are some photos of the planting <br />activity. <br />EPB Chair Laura Moore kicked things off by talking about Arbor Day and some of the many benefits that trees <br />provide. City Staff also took the opportunity to review proper planting techniques with the volunteers. The weather <br />was perfect, folks were excited, and all and all, the event seemed to come together very nicely.
