<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #22-101 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY AS BUILDING SAFETY MONTH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proclaims the month of May to be Building Safety <br />Month; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Inspection Division staff at the City of Ramsey, together <br />with the International Code Council, bring their expertise to create and to implement the <br />highest-quality codes to protect citizens and property in our community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the International Code Council sponsors Building Safety Month every <br />year in May to remind the public of the importance of the work that the Building Inspection <br />Division staff does, year-round to ensure our businesses and homes remain safe and sound; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in observance of Building Safety Month, citizens are asked to consider <br />projects to improve building safety and sustainability and to acknowledge the essential <br />services provided by the City of Ramsey's Building Inspection Division. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby proclaims May as Building Safety Month. <br /> <br />2) That in observance of Building Safety Month, citizens are asked to consider projects <br />to improve building safety and sustainability and to acknowledge the essential services <br />provided by the City of Ramsey's Building Inspection Division. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Woestehoff, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Riley <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Heineman <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
