Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #22-086 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> CONTRACT NO. 07023A01, AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL <br /> MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT NO. 07023 <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 415-01-023, adopted January <br /> 27, 2015, approving Traffic Control Signal Maintenance Agreement No. 07023 between the City <br /> of Ramsey and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), which included cost <br /> sharing responsibilities for MnDOT, Anoka County and the City of Ramsey for costs related to <br /> the signal system on CSAH 83/Armstrong Boulevard at its intersection with the on/off-ramps <br /> north of Trunk Highway 10; and <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County installed a battery back-up system (BBS) for this signal <br /> system and was responsible for maintaining the BBS; and <br /> WHEREAS, MnDOT and Anoka County are terminating their agreement for this signal <br /> system, including the BBS; and <br /> WHEREAS, unless the City of Ramsey assumes responsibility for the ongoing <br /> maintenance and operation of the BBS, Anoka County will remove the BBS resulting in the <br /> signal system going dark whenever the power supply is interrupted; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey desires to reimburse MnDOT for ongoing maintenance <br /> and operation costs related to the BBS as outlined in Amendment No. 1 to Traffic Control Signal <br /> Maintenance Agreement No. 07023, MnDOT Contract No. 07023AO1. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute <br /> MnDOT Contract No. 07023A01 for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Howell, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Heineman <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br />
