Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #22-119 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 FOR IMPROVEMENT <br /> PROJECT #22-05, RIVERDALE DRIVE TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, LLAMA <br /> STREET TO BOWERS DRIVE <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-305 adopted October 26, <br /> 2021, the City Council accepted the design services proposal of Bolton & Menk, Inc. for <br /> providing engineering services required to develop final plans and specifications for the purpose <br /> of soliciting bids for the construction of Improvement Project#22-05; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-040 the City Council <br /> approved the plans and specifications prepared by Bolton & Menk, Inc. for the making of such <br /> improvements, and authorizes the advertisement of bids for the same improvements as City <br /> Improvement Project#22-05; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-072 the City Council <br /> authorized entering into a construction contract with Douglas Kerr Underground for the making <br /> of such improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-087 the City Council <br /> authorized executing Change Order No. 1 approving the installation of plastic watermain in lieu <br /> of ductile iron watermain to ensure utilities are operational in time to serve the Riverstone South <br /> development; and <br /> WHEREAS, the existing septic system tank serving the abandoned property at 8846 <br /> Highway 10 NW, which was proposed to be removed during Improvement Project #20-05, <br /> collapsed during construction of Improvement Proj ect #22-05, requiring the emergency removal <br /> of the tank due to health and safety concerns; and <br /> WHEREAS, Douglas Kerr Underground removed the septic tank on May 3, 2022, at a <br /> cost of$2,800 in accordance with Change Order#2 as approved by the Minnesota Department of <br /> Transportation, Bolton and Menk, Inc., and the City Engineer. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby provides after-the-fact approval of the emergency <br /> execution of Change Order No. 2 for City Improvement Project #22-05, Riverdale <br /> Drive Trunk Utility Improvements, Llama Street to Bowers Drive, for and on behalf of <br /> the City of Ramsey. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />
